"Sometimes I just stick my thumb in a peach and leave it there" ... Jim's Big Ego

There are lyrics for test pilot up.

I have a show at the Perk on Monday.

The show last night with John Thayer was a bunch of fun.

Maybe a bunch and a quarter.

» WTF!
Turns out the College Park Fundome is neither a dome nor fun.

I'm kind of disappointed. The mystique has been ruined by a poorly written article with lots of f--- in it. And the nice touch of making fun of the fundome-lifeguard's physical appearance.

Make that fundomelifeguard. fun do me lifeguard? NO! NOT ACCORDING TO THE ARTICLE!

ALL ONE WORD. OR THAT!

DIAMONDBACK! WTF?

FUNDOME .. SIGH!

Um, I posted ...

WTF, mate?

» upon his return, the chairs were heal-ed
I got back into town for the last 20 minutes or so of PLOJ Saturday night... went home and unpacked all my stuff from the car, at which point I realized that my apartment was, well, horrible.

Sunday, I spent the whole day (got up at 1, mind you) cleaning. As I was in domestic mode, I got around to fixing the recliner (old-style) that my mom gave me that had been sitting in my corner for months as an implicit "do not sit on me" sign; it was not in any condition to be load bearing.

I'm finishing it this evening; the glue had to cure for 24 hours. I also glued together a loose-jointed armchair that was sitting in another corner. I have lots of corners. As of tomorrow night sometime I'll have lots of viable chairs.

I should have a party.

We could all sit around in chairs and drink cocktails.

Perhaps play with Legos. Make it black-tie, maybe? Erica?

I, whilst home in Erie and somewhat bored, made an effort to sort my 1.5 trash cans (~30 gallons) of Legos into more sensible chunks. I sorted out a large portion of the Technic stuff (with all the gears and wheels and whatnot) and brought it to Maryland. Totaled about 5 gallons of bricks (sorted by color into 1 gallon ziploc bags) and about a gallon of gears, axles, and random doodads.

I own a lot of Legos.

I may just have to build a monstrosity.

A radio-controlled monstrosity. You see, I had $75 worth of gift cards to Media Play from Christmas.

I purchased:

1) Good News for People who Love Bad News, by some humble rodent...
2) A 32MB smart card for my digital camera
3) A Lego radio controlled car.

The last was the impetus for the Lego sorting. I wanted to have stuff to attach to the car...

Anyway, I need to work.

» ah, the holiday vomitorium
I'm going to have to find one of them sci-fi decontamination chambers like you see in all the movie labs, you know, with the UV light and the white fog.

Seems that my cousin Andy had the stomach flu on Christmas eve, and no amount of handwashing care could keep it from passing to everyone.

I spent all of yesterday in bed... better today, but urk.

My sister has fallen in the last hour... my mom's been bad for the last two days.

Ahh, Christmas vacation.

As the current holder of the healthy stick, I'll be making a ginger ale run in a while.

Fortunately, we all made it through Christmas Day. We saw "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" Christmas afternoon. Bizarre and funny, just how I like it.

I've got a lot of friends to visit in the next few days. It's looking more like I'll be back in the DC/Baltimore area for New Year's Eve, but we shall see.

Last night i wore the creepiest halloween costume i think i've ever worn. Thanks to Mitzi for the gas mask...

Maybe I'll go lurk in the shadows tonight or something...

Less than ten hours left until November, and I still haven't written that last song yet.
